Guided tours of the Red Dot Design Museum

In the course of public and individually bookable museum tours, visitors have various possibilities to experience award-winning design. Designers and art historians inform about contemporary industrial design, product culture and the fascinating architecture of the house. But also the exciting history of the competition does not go short.

Public tours
Public tours inform visitors regularly about latest trends, cultural or country-specific characteristics and about how design has changed over the years.

Individual tours
Individually bookable tours by qualified guides inform the participants about things to know about design. The focus can be put on different aspects: single industries, countries, brand products or developments. Among others, the Red Dot Design Museum offers tours on the following topics, also in English, French and Dutch:
•    Regular tour of the Red Dot Design Museum
•    German Design Standards
•    Between Handicraft and Hightech – Harmony in Asian design
•    New Scandinavian Design

Tours for children
What is design? How can it be evaluated? And why need products to be designed? Special tours for children acquaint them in a playful way with the topic design.
